Default battery or alternator?

So I havnt had any issues with my car lately but last night after I turned my car off I noticed I was too close to the wall in my garage, so I decided to turn it back on to back up and reposition myself but then for no particular reason my car wouldnt start. I didnt have a battery charger or anything and all i had was jumper cables so I jumped it and it started, but after 15 minutes of running and turning it back off, the car wont turn on again.

My guess is that I either have a bad battery or an alternator but Im not too quite sure

ill probably check it out after labor day, the only hassle is that i need to get a jump start every time i want to turn it on now which doesnt sound too appealing

^Well, you'll have to do that reagardless till you find the problem. Might as well get tested there and if it's a battery, to buy one while you're there.

if you need a battery and have a Costco card, then you're best buying from them. they're dirt cheap. otherwise, get them test.

I would think that's the alternator not charging the battery.. but it's easy as hell with a multimeter.

I would guess it's the battery. I just had my alternator go out on me and the battery light actually came on. Swapped out alt's and the light went away and it's running great again.
