How to pull interior panels?
Looking to run my stereo in my 1999 civix dx hatch... Wanting to do it right for once so im looking how to remove the rear side panels. Does anyone know of a good do it yourself posting or a have good discriptions on how to pull it out right with out breaking all the pop rivits?
Running the wires down the sides for the sub and amp.. Ya the plast clips are what i was talking about but for some reason it felt like there was more than just the plastic clips.
No, the panels just have clips over the body metal and other overlapping panels and plastic clips, if they break, AZ sells them cheap. Just give good but quick pulls and you'll be fine. Also, just fold your seat down and shove it from the back seat, under maybe a slight portion of the rear side panel and then the runner, rather than just pulling that whole panel off, you can just lift the bottom a little bit and push the wire through.
The only part you have to pull up is that panel that goes in the door opening. That you just pry up. Otherwise the carpet pulls back and just run it to the back between the seat and trim.
Youll have to pull your seats. And then give them a good tug.
The clips are only plastic you might and most likely will break them. It isnt a big deal shucks sells them cheep.
