Default why is this??

ok i just bought a ep3 about 2 weeks ago i have been reading about kpro reflashes and all that stuff..

what im getting at is factory redline is 6800 " i think" corrrect me if im wrong.. mine is redlining at 7400 " confused" why is this what do i have kpro or a reflash???

well check and see if your ecu has a pc connector on the back and thats kpro if its just a normal ecu thats prolly just a reflash, and yes the factory redline is @ 6800

redline is a highlighted red on the cluster so ur saying ur cluster has been changed or modified

redline has noting to do with the ecu lol

u may be referring to fuel cut which doesn't have much to do with redline

you my friend are a moron..... im saying redline or revlimitier what ever you call it on a stock ep3 is 6800 well mine is redlining at 7400..

Hey man.... Redline is 6800. But from watching mine hit fuel cut a couple of times, it looks like every once in a while it bounces up to almost 7400 RPM. That could just be the fact that the factory tach is a couple hundred RPMs off. It isn't uncommon for that to happen.
