I purchased a gsr swap obd2 with the manifold that is upside down from tiger japanese...im using my b16 trans..what do i have to do with the harness to make this work? please help ASAP...and which ecu do i need also

 

Super easy! Buy a nice aftermarket intake manifold like Skunk2 or something so no wiring will be needed. The engine will bolt right in! I'd replace the clutch and timing belt if i were you at the time.

For the ecu, use a jumper harness and a obdIIA p72 ecu, or a obdI p72, or a chipped obdI vtec ecu

That's pretty much it

 

you could also put your B16 head on the GSR and run it like that if u dont want to buy an aftermarket intake manifold. it will bolt right on to the GSR block.

x2 on the clutch and belt change. i would also do the rear main seal, water pump, tensioner and misc. gaskets.

 

x3 The B16 head should run better than the GSR head. Also, I would rip apart the transmission and inspect the synchros/gears. And for me, replace the 5th gear with a LS one for more gas friendly freeway use. =] That is, if your into that kind of thing. For my GSR tranny it's like 4k rpm going at 75-80mph which is no go. =/

 

^^yup i feel like im ROARING down the freeway with my GSR trans. Imagine the B16 trans lol. in VTEC already :O.

 

I'd keep the gsr head on, it makes pretty much the same power as the PR3 head. If you do switch it, you will "loose" 0.1 compression, so nothing will be gained power wise

 

You will only have to extend the intake air temp wires. The rest is pretty much plug and play. I know there's a better diagram on where to hook up the additional sensors for the GSR (iab, etc.) but here's one that should help http://www.hamotorsports.com/obd2b-wiring-diagram.html
