Default My oil pan bolt!

My oil pan bolt does not want to come off for shyt. I have used all my might in this and so did my friends. Can someone tell me a way to get this thing off please. The previous owner that had this seem to not change the oil for a long time and now the car smokes up like something crawled in the engine and died. Someone please help me...

I accidently posted this in the eg forum by accident.

1. Air ratchet
2. Try this. This is what my friends and I do when we need torque:

Also, try a little bit of PB Blaster on the bolt to see if it will loosen it up.

also....try to find a long pipe to fit over your ratchet or wrench for more leverage

kick it a couple of times.... have you tired an impact? what i hate about breaker bars and **** on that... is that there is barely any space for the bar to move and barely any space for you to torque your arm.

if its on that tight ur gonna have problems with it sealing when u put it back on..on my old dx motor the first time i ever changed my oil...i was tightening it instead of trying to loosen it!! when i tried backing it out the threads were messed up on the bolt thankfully..so i had to loossen it and pull on it at the same time..luckily i had my wrecked civic in the driveway that i could pull the other bolt off of..

take a 17mm closed wrench and then that another wrench about the same size or bigger and put the round end over the open end of ur 17mm to get more leverage...its kinda confusing how to do but ull get it...look at the pic above for a better idea..

Just a side note, on any horizontal bolts like the tranny drain I use the jack, I put it so the jack pushes up the right way to loosen it and let the cars weight undo the bolt.

Thanks a lot for your reply guys. Should I also spray WD-40 on the bolt to help loosen it?

Yup. I think PB blaster works better personally, but anything will help.

But if you think your oil pan bolt is on tight, try getting my stupid crank pulley bolt off!!!! It's been 3 days and I still haven't gotten this thing off.

I've tried a nice long breaker bar, with my bro in the car (5th gear) standing on the brakes... All I did was lift up the car a bit, and the brakes kinda slipped.

I also spent 125$ on a Husky Air Impact Wrench - 500 ft. lbs of torque. I hooked that sucker up and let it wirl..... nothing... click click click... no loose bolt. This is BS and I'm pissed!!!!!! I can't finish this engine swap without getting the pulley off!

So in other words - I feel for ya.
