i have a 95 si and the speedometer is just bouncing around randomly. it will read the correct mph for a little bit and then go haywire. i have replaced the cluster with another good condition cluster and it still is going crazy. i also am not throwing any CEL.

 

did you check your VSS? The plug that connects to it could get wet if you just cleaned out the engine bay, i would set d/c the plug make sure its dry and check again. Also my cluster would do that before the car would shut off on me and found out that my ALT,VSS fuse under the dash was out and i was running the car with only the battery, but my cel did light up. I would check fuses to start then the plug

 

Any other electrical issues? May be worth checking your grounds.

 

Mines doing the same thing... For a while, it died completely. I changed the tranny fluid but right after it just started bouncing around.

 

Try checking your speed sensors. Experienced that before.

 

i was unaware that there is more than 1 speed sensor. where is the other one located?
