Burnt alternator ground, Daily driver need fix!, have PIC!!!!!
hey, while driving last night i notice, it seem like alternator went out. light dimmed and rpm gauge not working. when i got home i notice a burnt wire smell but it was way too dark. i check this morning and heres what i see.
seems to be just a ground for the alternator. can i cut and reconnect a wire or is there a better way off doing this. need ur HT hellpp, thankss my DD needs to be fixed!!

Just replace it with an equal gauge wire or bigger, make damn sure your new terminal ends are tight on the new cable and you will be good to go.

cause and effect, you either have a bad connection somewhere in the same circuit, or your alternator is putting out way to much power, you should have a shop check it out, just replacing the melted wire will be putting a band aid on it
