Default blitz 01 rim question

ok guys i have a set of blitz 01 rims. They are 2 piece and i had them apart to get powder coated. I went to put them back together and i managed to snap a bolt like a dumbass. I've heard to tighten them to aabout 30 ft/lbs . I tightened them up real well with tiny wreches figuring that i couldnt tighten them to much with my small wrenches. So then i decided to throw my biggggggg torque wrench on there to see if i was at 30 ft lb. I guess the wrench had to much leverage and even though it never read 30 ft/lb the bolt snapped. So i guess it was just stretching the bolt until it broke. Anyways i know im an idiot 30 ft/lb is nothing and i shoulda just hand tightened them plus like another turn. Sooooooooo the question is where can I find a 12 point bolt similiar to these??? Sorry for the rant im really angry.

Default Re: blitz 01 rim question

find the width of the bolt and material and since its a used bolt you shouldnt use too much torque on it. maybe a lb or 2 less than a new bolt of that size.
