93 DX Hatch Revlimiter help???
Okay, so I picked up a 93 DX Civic Hatch from a guy in Tennessee this weekend, car needed an engine harness because some who hacked ti up and tried to wire it back together, but it ended up being an EPIC FAIL. But anyways, got a P75 in it, and I know about the inconsistency of the Honda tachometer, but I don't think it is the problem. Car hits rev limiter a 6200 RPM. Now I am not new to Honda's nor is this my first civic (had 4 hatchbacks this year, including a turbo B20 hatch), but this one doesn't seem to be acting right, and before someone asks, NO it has no check engine light, and yes the bulb is in there, I put it in when I got the car home (previous owner took it out). Now I am wondering if I have a bad ECU, the reason I say this is because when I got the car (cut harness remember) they had 4 of the 8 injector grounds ran to the fuse box (PLEASE, don't ask me why!) and the other 4 where cut running to nothing. When I changed the harness and got everything working it just has a low rev limiter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know it is something stupid, but right now it is beyond me... I would think if I was in limp mode I would have a cel or other problems, car seems to be fairly strong.. But how would I know if I were in limp mode?
Wow, nobody has any input what so ever except is it in limp mode???? This is insane, nobody has had revving issues and no check engine light before???? I even changed ECU's with a known good ECU of my buddy's the other day and it still had a 6200 rpm fuel cut? Could injectors cause it to hit an early rev limiter????

its not neither of those, if the engine pulls strong then its not in limp mode, could be the ecu, perhaps its chipped to cut off at 6200. do you know the history of this ecu, try swapping it out with another ecu that you know goes to the correct rev limiter
Already switched the ecu out with my buddies PR4 out of his Del Sol, we put my ECU in his car and it revved right. The car feels like it pulls good, but it is still pulling when it hits the fuel cut...
