My car: 99 Accord V6 EX 4-DR Auto

Today I just replaced 2 motor mounts, one in front and the other on the passenger site. When I removed the old mount on the passenger site, I found a small iron block came off from nowhere. The steel block size is 2 x 1.5 x 3/4 inches. I thought it belongs to the old mount but cannot find a place to put that block back in? I left it out. Anyone please tell me what is this for?

That looks to be part of the side engine mount damper.

Referred to as a mass damper. It helps cancel out a noise emitted from components, often an NVH device. If you notice a new noise or frequency emitting from the engine bay its most likely due to that chunk not being attached.

Strange, the link that GhostAccord posted worked for me. It is #4 in the illustration. I right clicked it and 'open in new tab'. Just tried it again, works fine.

In this link it looks like you picked the EX (4 cylinder) you need to choose the EXV6 or LXV6

Thank you GhostAccord and everyone, I selected a wrong line instead "Trim: EX V6 or LX V6" that's why it not come up - I'm OK now, but too expensive, Honda dealer costs as twice $50/ea. What? They sell metal by kilo?

 

Isn't it #4 in the pic, ~$33, that you need?
