Which spring goes in the front, Which is rear?
Tried posting in the Suspension thread but no one's replying the whole day and this is an emergency i have alignment tomorrow morning and dont know which springs go where!!!
anyway i just bought some temporary ebay lowering springs for a project car.. i have skunk2 coilovers on my daily driver so never really messed with lowering springs.
Which one goes on the front and which one is the back one?
Front is supposed to give a 2.5" drop
Rear-2.25"
The difference's ive seen is:
1. One is flat on the top, the other one isn't
2. One is shorter than the other,
3. On one of the springs the coils are tightly bunched at the top.

Alright so now im having people tell me that the shorter springs go in the front since the front is supposed to be lower than the rear.. but the lower one's are also less stiff.
Does anyone else want to clarify

stiffer is for the front man... emagine how heavy the engine is as opposed to the back.. thats why its longer/stiffer... look at ur stock shocks too arent they different sizes?
I agree with everyone here: stiffer is all you need to worry about if you can feel the difference. Stiffer up front for the engine/tranny weight.
They are 100% correct, the longer/stiffer ones go on the front. If you put the Rear springs on the front, your oil pan would be touching the ground. I made this mistake once
