Default Fidanza pilot bearing problem ?

Hey

I just bought a new fidanza flywheel i think its 8.5lbs or something like that for my H22a2 rebuild.

But I noticed that the pilot bearing isnt moving as it should.. I searched and found this threat;

https://honda-tech.com/forums/transmission-drivetrain-127/new-fidanza-flywheel-pilot-bearing-question-2590887/ (I hope its cool I use your post Nathan007)

I'm experiencing the exact same problem, what should I do ? Is it something to be worried about or what do you guys think?

Thanks
Rasmus

Buy a new one. It's easy to get and not so expensive. I have just replaced mine for a Japanese bearing with a metal sealing and it was ca. 10 Euro/$13. Just got old one out and gave them to compare in the shop.

Thanks man. I then have a question
If I press this bad bearing out, will the new one fit in just as tight as this one does? I mean will the aluminum squeeze as hard on the bearing as it does now? Not sure how to explain it, my English isn't the best ..

Yes, with no problem. They will measure this bearing and sell a proper one to you. It is quite common size.

Thanks mate, I think I'll do that. I've emailed Fidanza though. Because I think its kinda bad to sell flywheels like that, arent they checking them before shipping em out to the stores? I mean theres a sticker on the flywheel marked with 'this product meets the requirement of bla bla bla' or something...
