ls block - ls crank - ctr pistons + b16 head = 13.9
ls block - ls crank - ctr pistons + Ls head (WHY?) = 13.1
Above things all be equal , running a 3 layer hg, no milling and only reving to 8300rpms. your piston speed is already through the roof with this heavy *** piston.
Some people need to read correctly before they put numbers on a forum where people dont know whats what.
This has been covered a thousand times but for you, since you seem like your truely just starting out i'll help you out

CTR Pistons are garbage unless they are put into a b16. Period.
They are entire too heavy and distore the flame process alot.. yes there are alot of people that use this piston but only because they aren't educated. The CR is entirely too high even to really run on race gas or e85 because of the fact that the power level isn't there.. cast piston really? Come on.. if you wanna stick to a oem piston you got 3 great opitions.
pr3/p30's and the jdm itr pistons.
oh well my 14:1 CR prediction was just 0.1-0.3 points shy of the exact CR..Thanks ALLMOTOR..I just wonder why some people wants to do it the hard way..ITR pistons for me if I would build my LS normally aspirated.
ill say there are better choices as far as flame travel and weight. for a ls block i like the p73-ao's myself, but if you already have them i would use them. if you look around on here many people have used them with good sucess...i would get a thicker head gasket to bring your compression down for easier tunning.
its funny that people post **** straight out of books and forms as there opion. Most of that **** you guys say is bullshit we have built two ls/vtec with b16b pistions at 81.50 and 1 gsr with b16b pistions. the first ls/vtec motor ran like a RAPED date the guy it was built for spanked a nsx by 2 car on the way back from ocala. the problem is people that build motors have no ****ing brains ctr pistions are just dome top pistions no different than buying aftermarket there just out of a honda. the real-funny thing is all the fast allmotor cars are runing dome tops so if you havent built a motor and went through trial and error your SELF i would just keep my mouth shut and fingers still cause the setup has been done thousands times the first or last so i say CTR and **** the world cause it works you just need to know how to build a HONDA motor:thud

Spoken from a true Fast and Furious connoisseur. I guess street racing is all the proof anyone needs for anything car related.

Why don't you enlighten us on how to build a HONDA motor the right way? CTR's have high dome like aftermarket high compression pistons but CTR's also have a higher compression height. Thats what makes them different. All or most aftermarket high compression pistons do not exceed 30.00 comp height. CTR's have higher dome cc and compression height thats why alot of people don't like them.

Hey Red I think you scared him away! He's getting pumped watching Vin Diesel now. Pretty soom he'll be right back in hear Fast and Furious.... LOLz!
builders have been doing this setup for yearsthe only reason they smack the head is cause people dont know how to clay motors any more and check for headgasket height before and during the build .ive never ever had a motor fail due to stupidity like this . honda and other pro-cast pistions are made better than alot of these companys pistion so what the domes bigger buy a good cam to compesate for the compression. and the weight isnt really that much more than other you just have to know how to do the most important thing TUNE the car not set basemap from your buddys car or order one online. **** today i put a f23 vtec in a eg just to prove to someone that it could be done if you research and im not knocking anyone on hear im just try to make yall relize that the **** yall think from what you hear doesent work is usauly the way to make power nowdays.i just have a love for honda power in its best form straight-motor.
people will always talk crap when they gotta pay somone build for them. and i dont know where yall get fast and the furious from i never said i street race but i can bet you do.

Are you referring to me being a street racer? My team name was made 10 years ago. Last time we street raced was in 04. So what if we did street race. We also have track times and dyno sheets to prove. Not basing off because we pulled a car by XXX lengths.
thanks for the info and if ur refferin to me a bein scared off i been busy as hell my wife just had our son at 4:16AM september 5 2010 she was in labor for like a long *** time and im just goin to put them in with arp head bolts and rod bolts with a micro polished ls crank
