actually its a mini me but it has d16z6 head / d15b7 bottom end 10:1 compression running about 7 lbs boost via garret t25. my build is on this site

i was thinkin 4200 RPM but this will be my first z6 head so i really dont know so please any input thanks

4200-4500 would be good.

Wouldn't go less than 4k
Or more than 5.5k

It would also depend on the cams you're using.talk to your tuner or if you're tuning it yourself, hit the dyno, assuming you know what you're doing.

in traffic you dont wanna be going in and out of Vtec a bunch. 4k is too low I would think.

Generally your tuner will tinker with that during your dyno session. On one of my setups, my tuner moved it around quite a bit until he found a point at which it engaged seemlessly and helped spool the turbo as well. The actual engagement point will hinge on a few things: cams, turbo, the overall flow of the setup (head, exhaust, manifold, etc), ...

RPM is not the only trigger. TPS is also a factor.

Depends if its a daily driver i would take it on the freeway drive at 60 mph or what ever you average speed is in 5th gear and see were the rpm is say its at 4000rpm i would set it up 500rpm more so 4500rpm if its a drag race car it dont matter keep it open if its a track car you have to set it on test and tune around the track

Thanks the best advice i can give you
