as far as the manifolds go, you can look at it like a Y8 (original VTEC motor for that car) without the VTEC mechanism. meaning you can swap both intake and exhaust manifolds from a Y8. i think there have been some write ups on this somewhere, maybe with pics.

there aren't many guys on here admitting to running a built Y7. the majority will tell you to boost it or swap for a twin cam motor. i'll spare you my opinion on that, but take a look here for some guys with tons of single cam experience. (click the top search result)

Just boost it or swap, save yourself the trouble. If you dont have the funds, save up.

Automatic Y8 Intake manifold will work perfectly here, make sure it comes from an automatic though.

OEM EX coupe manifold, downpipe, catalytic converter and intermediate pipe will all bolt up perfectly, feel free to substitute some or all of these components for aftermarket parts for the same car. If the car was an EX and the previous owner left the harness in it you wont have any trouble with O2 sensor wiring, if they used a Y7 harness or cut up the Y8 harness you will have to extend the wiring for the secondary O2 sensor.

on the real, don't even change the intake manifold, just turbo it, and put some EX injectors in it, oh yeah also use a Ex (D16Y8) transmission. Fun little set up, definitely cheaper then a b swap.

The whole reason you use an automatic Y8 manifold is because of the IACV. Automatic Y8s and all Y7s use a 3 wire IACV thats part of the throttlebody. 5 speed Y8s have a 2 wire linear IACV on the back of the manifold itself.
