Default s2000 n00b, Keyless entry question...

Picking up my 03 GPW s2000 in a few days. The owner doesnt have any of the keyless entry fobs nor does he know if the car even has it. I am new at these cars... and I realllly want the oem fob and keyless entry to work. Is my car setup and wired for this? If so, do I just need to go to Honda and get a fob ordered and programmed?

Or... do some s2000s just not have keyless entry?

Yeah all S2000s came with either a keyless entry system with FOBs or an optional security system that requires a different FOB. You will just have to order one and program it to your s2k; just find out if you have the security system by checking for the security box (Under seat), LED and kill switch.

below is the link on how to program your new FOB.

So if there is NO box under the driver seat, that means in fact I have no alarm,. but DO have keyless entry?

You should seriously think about getting an aftermarket alarm to prevent theft and vandalism, especially if you're gonna daily it and/or park it outside.

But yeah, all S2000s have keyless entry. You can just order it from your local Honda dealer and have them program it or you can go the cheapskate route and look for a used one and reprogram it to your car yourself using the aforementioned instructions.
