Default Key in chime problem

My keysense seems to be reversed; the alarm that goes off when you leave your key in the ignition; well when I take my key out and leave the door open I get the dinging; I'm just looking to solve the issue

Been a while but I can finally come back to this, my car chimes at me as if my keys were in the ignition every time I open my drivers side door on top of that my front speakers don't work though I've tested them and they are still good. I'm assuming the two are related as thy went out in the same time frame. The drivers side speaker died first then the passenger. So why is this happening, help me fix it. When I get the answer that corrects the problem, meaning I have to verify that it solved my issue; the person responsible willow have $30 sent to them via PayPal.

Was the alarm installed when this all happened? As in the same time frame?

Chime problem:
My guess is that the key-in switch portion of the ignition switch is stuck closed. Do you have a multimeter to test?

Speakers:
Check the speaker wires at the rear of the radio.

I can get ahold of a multimeter, the under dash harness was replaced like a week before. I just found this out.

Apparently the wiring was charred due to a short.

^Could have been replaced with a faulty one or things could have been tampered with when replaced. Possibility.

Check for continuity between terminals 2 and 4 with and without the key inserted. There should only be continuity with the key inserted into the ignition switch.

Check the terminals for speaker wires in the radio connectors. Also check the wires for continuity between the radio connector and the speaker.

Correct. I believe the speaker and chime problems have separate causes.

wow...didn't OP say they started at the same time?

OP...do the rears still work?

does honda audio have protection circuits?? i know OP said front speakers good but how did he check them? speakers good? wiring NOT grounding out. if a channel grounds out will it shut down a stage or just a speaker or the whole radio?
