quick question about o2 sensor

Icon2 quick question about o2 sensor

whats up guys! ok i have 2000 civic coupe with obd1 b16a3 swap with kiddracing header and blox test pipe my question is what does the o2 sensor do? do i have to put it back on or is it ok if i dont. thanks guys!

The engine needs the O2 sensor. The (primary) O2 sensor provides a critical input to the ECU to ensure that the engine runs on the optimal air-fuel ratio rather than too rich or too lean.

its your secondary source for calculating fuel trims. If you have chipped ecu it could be disabled already, I would put it back if you running stock ecu

depends who chipped it, some people disable it, try without it and see how car bahaves
