Default Building Motor

Ok i got a 95 ex motor from this guy for $100 but it is in peices. It has new rings and the block is honed it just has to be put together. It does not have new bearings and I wanted to know how I would go about finding out which pitons/rods go in which cylinder. Or if it even matters. Also how much would it be for a machine shop to do it?? But I would rather do it myself so any help is appreciated

Default Re: Building Motor (Iron Flag)

If the pistons are not marked then you can't tell where they go. It shouldn't matter much since the block has been honed.
