visual differences: b18 and h22
ok i'm not at all new to hondas, engine swaps, or vtec power or even forced induction, tuning, etc. but one thing i've never known is simply this:
is there a visual difference, ASIDE FROM THE CASTING NUMBER, between the b series motors, and the H22??? only valve cover color? the dark grey? but i swear i see this on si motors too.
maybe there isnt' a way to tell, other than peep the casting numbers. let me know wise ones. thnx

Well the obvious way to tell right away is the h22s have the alternator on the front and they also have a deep valley on the timing belt side of the valve cover to allow the alternator cables to rest in, and their oil dipstick tube is on the side vs on the front of the block
i dont know how can you mistake it
