ok so i took my car to get the A/C system tested and the tech said that my compressor is bad, so i plan on buying a new one. my question is, do i really need to replace the condenser and evaporator core if i buy a new compressor?

when the A/C was working these parts seem to be in great shape, so should i replace them?

 

It's always a good idea to so you know you will not have any more problems with the AC for a while. My buddy only swapped out the compressor and a month or two later had to change the condenser, he also changed the evaporator as well and he AC been blowing ice cold since.

 

replacing all those items is not necessary. only thing i would replace if it wasn't done recently is the receiver dryer.
