Hey, i have a 94 lx, but lately my car has gotten a bit rougher at idle and noisier. I hear kind of a loud clicking noise from my engine. I was wondering if i need a valve adjustment or something to fix the rougher idle and the noise.

 

yea...get the valves adjusted.

 

i was wondering how much it would cost to get it done at the the dealer, if it is easy then i would rather do it myself.

Yup, new head gasket and check timing and adjustment.

 

new head gasket? hmmmmm ok. I don't know about that. i would say first get the valve clearance adjusted and the idle speed adusted. The valve clearance adjustment usually runs from about $80-$120 or so..including the replacement of the valve cover gasket.

 

i think he means valve cover gasket.

 

Do the valves and check the idle. If its still there come back to us.
