ticking this morning
So there I was driving to my destination, of course the engine wasn't warmed up and I brought it up to about 5500 I have a stock d16y7 redline is 6200ish. then bam it starts ticking only when I step on the gas, idle is fine there is very minimal ticking at idle no more then usual.
I'm amusing its a valve? How can I make sure? its a ticking not a knocking.

Re: ticking this morning
take off the valve cover
take a screw driver (flat tip)
and stick it in the spring and tap the valves and see if they move at all
you might need new vlaves or a valve job. depending on how many miles are on you motor
take off the head, get a valve job, new vlaves and guides. and new head gasket itl feel alot better and be alittle more peppy
