crank pulley went rolling
so i jsut left a stop sign and like half a block down the road i heard a loud noise and saw my crank pully rollin down the road. the pulley just dissapered, down the drain i think.... i got a dohc zc in the car, an i still got the crank from the d16 that was in in befor the swap. do you thin k i would work? all i got is the alternator, no ps or ac. any idea honda heads?
That happed when you forgot to torque it to spec. I belive the two pullies are different in diameter. So, it may work after you adjust the tension on the alternator.
If you can't find a woodruff key then just make one. i had to improvise one time because it was late saturday and no dealer were open. what i did was i took an allen wrench or bit and grind it down into a small box shape and match it up to the size that i need to fit into the crank pulley slot and done deal. it still on the car til this day.
