I need to check my timing on my s2000 01
After headgasket install I have low compression 90 on all cylinder , from what I've been reading that most common problem is timing. Car runs idles good but I noticed I really don't have alot of pick up
So I want to check my timing can someone explain to me on the crank is the white notch TDC And if that lines up and the cams line up then my timing should be good? Any help would be good. If the crank is off 1 tooth would my symptoms be correct

Take off the valve cover and set your motor at TDC. Check to make sure the notches are in the correct position.
