Default 98 JDM iTR Rebuild

I just picked up a HMO 98 ITR Swap i want to rebuild the engine with after market parts, which pistons, rods, valve train, etc should i use? This is my first rebuild so i don't have to much knowledge on which parts are the best bang for my buck. thanks

best bang for your buck = run it stock

If nothing is wrong with it, leave it the way it is now. Very good motor in stock form.

its great stock but also easy to bump 20whp. the jun3 or endyn bumpstix, matching VT and a good tune will take you up at least 20hp. more than a few otherwise stock itrs have hit 200whp with that cam change. if youre after more power a tear down is not needed unless you plan on getting extreme and if that was the plan you should have just bought a dart block to start with.

May I suggest taking a history lessons on ITR's and the engine?
