Lower Shock Mounts
Has anyone replaced the lower shock mounts? Why do they have a metal sleeve? The new energy suspension front ones don't have a metal sleeve, but they don't make them for the rear. How do you get the old ones out? I'm going to try to use a new rear with sleeve to press the old one out and install the new one at the same time. Has anyone tried this?
Actually, they do have for both front and rear. I bought a kit that comes with both.
Pretty annoying to get the old bushings out, there's the method of cutting the metal sleeve and just hammer it out, or... using a press. I believe that using a tool to extract the old ones "in vehicle" would be great, but may be a hassle either way.

what i did to get the old ones out was i used a jigsaw to cut the bolt off to get the shock out and then i took a torch and burned the rubber out of the bushing. then i took the jigsaw and cut into the metal sleeve that is left behind and u have to make about 3 cuts all the way through the sleeve and it will break free and come out. its a long process but i had to do it to both sides in the back.
