Default Common Rust Places to look for?

Hey guys. Looking to get a car sooner or later, but there's one thing I need some more clarification.

When inspecting a car, where are the common parts and most crucial parts to look for rust?

This area, on both sides. As well as the rocker panels, I would think. I live in SoCal so I've never encountered a Civic with rust as bad as this, but yeah.

open the trunk and peel the carpeting back from the quarters and check those out on both sides. also look down at the rocker panels.

Rust can be found almost anywhere on car. Usually the rear panel and below the passenger side.. Most older vehicles have rust but it depend where you live. If you live in very moisture and snowy moisture then rust can be common to see there...
