Default pre-made pie cuts

Anyone used these before?

http://www.maperformance.com/maperfo...-map-fab1.html

I'm thinking about picking up 1 or 2 of these for my next downpipe. Thoughts?

Why don't you just make your own, they're really not that difficult to make. All you need is a chop saw or band saw.

yeah thats pretty stupid, just make your own. If you have a welder, chances are you have the skill/tools to cut tubing at an angle. People usually make pie cuts in the first place so they don't have to buy mandrel bent tubing.

Those are bloody cheap for the amount of work that goes into them. I could see why someone would buy them at that price if they had a lot of work on.

why doesnt anyone ever do this with an already mandrel bent pipe? you could have a more curved bend than just a bunch of straight cuts welded together.

yes exactly. seems like you could get a smoother tight radius that way.

hey cut me some slack! I live in a high rise and have a roommate. No place to keep the turbo parts. I have a gt3076r, mandrel bends, turbo manifold, wastegate, BOV, and all sorts of things in my bathroom! HA!

He meant why not use pie-cut bends instead of pie-cut straights. I guess its due to the price.
