Gauge Cluster Problem - 00 Ex vtec with 98 ecu
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to use the auto ex cluster that i had? i just swapped my car from auto to manual and i couldnt get the tach to work. I ended up buying an manual 97 integra cluster hoping it would work, but i havent gotten it to light up and the tach on that still doesnt work. Any suggestions?
Yep, really has nothing to do with the cluster itself, has to do with the engine and cabin harness. you can add a wire to the empty terminal on the igniter in the distributor and run it to the tach test wire at the driver's side rear corner of the engine bay and it should work fine. Or get a '99 - '00 EX ECU
ok, thanks for the responses guys...now as for running that wire...was i wrong to think that i could tap a wire off the blue wire coming off the distributor and run that to the test wire? because that is what i did, and i all i got as my result was the same bouncing tach that i had with the auto cluster
