Can i easily disable the service required lite in the dash of my 2001 civic LX?
(I'm not concerned with the affect on warranty)

Someone in the EG/EK+ forum might be better able to help you out there...this is the 88-91 forum, and that light sounds like an ODB2 thing, which our cars don't have.
Why not just puch the button and reset it? It is under the dash somewhere. Probably to the left of the steering wheel. I think that is where it is on my girlfriend's integra.
Yeah I can help ya, Push and hold the button on the right hand side of the guage cluster, then turn the key too the II position and keep holding the button for at least 10 sec. You will see the service light blink, then your all done. It is in the owners manual, and has been this way with HONDA/ACURA since 1998. at 7500 miles it starts to come on and blinks, then at 10000 miles it is on constantly. It is only an "Oil change" reminder, that's all.
Thank you HybridFiend........worked just as you said. That lite just drives me nuts for some reason, and if you hadn't gave me the answer i think i'd have ended up tearing the dash apart to get at that damn thing ! Thanks a lot......Dale
