Hey ya'll I currently own a Syncrowave 200...pretty much love it...but was at the dealers today and they were really trying to talk me into the Diversion 200...ultimatly I'de like to jump up a couple steps to the Diversion 300 or 350 (not sure of the actual number)...but yeah about $7k! ouch. Does anyone have any real world input on the Diversion 200 vs a Syncrowave 200? they are close to double the price so, is it worth it?

I think if you currently have the syncrowave, id just keep it. Unless you do a **** TON of aluminum welding and it needs to look absolutely flawless........

 

Yea, I think you're getting Dynasty and Diversion mixed up. And yes, the Dynasty series is definitely the way to go. I've used a Dynasty 200, 350, and a Sync 250, and if I had my choice it'd be Dynasty 350 all the way. Inverter>Transformer. Less power consumption, way more adjustability on the AC side, smaller, etc... I had no problem with the Sync 250 though when I used one. All I did was weld thick-walled boiler tubes (carbon and SS) all day, so not being able to control my AC frequency didn't bother me at all since we never welded AL there. I did weld AL with the Dyn200 (production job) and the 350 (at another school for a competition) though, and they were definitely great machines! If you can afford it, get the 350, if not, still upgrade to the Dynasty200, you'll love it, especially once you start dialin her in

 

I use a dynasty 350 at work all day. Definately a sweet machine.

 

dynasty 350 is a badass machine, but unless you're doing lots of volume, ~9k is a lot of $$

 

I Personally use a dynasty 200 to make SS exhaust manifolds and alot of Alum. all day great machine....top of the chain in my opinion..and like afroteggy said less consumption on both sides space and electricity

 

while the dynasty 200 is better than the sync, its FAR from the top of the chain
