I got a new battery cause the battery was drained. I tried swapping the dizzy and still no go.

When I put the car in accessories I cant hear the engine prime.

My car has been sitting for a couple months. Im running out of options here. My friend and I dont know whats wrong. It sounds like it wants to turn over but doesnt. Can anyone help me troubleshoot the problem?

 

do you have spark? Fuel? does the car turn over?

 

did you check if youre getting spark from the coil? you can do so by touching the end of the cord coming from the coil to the block, frame, panel, someting metal and have someone try to start it and see if it arks if not replace the coil. but make sure the motor is cranking, if its not then pull the starter out and replace it. if motor is cranking then check your timing belt by taking the vc and crank it if the cams dont turn then your timing belt is broke. trust me i just went trough this whole thing i replace the coil, icm, rotor, and cap and still no spark so we checked and the timing belt was broke. hope this helps
