window tint
so I know this isn't tech but I was wondering if anyone had shots of a captiva blue hatch with tints... only posted here because the hatch and sol owners would have them since it was a stock color... Not trying to rice my car out but I am tired of getting into my car and it being 140 degrees and burning myself on the seatbelt.. as much as i love the look of my car with clear windows thinking about something lighter like 35%... :/
it is in the front but i'm not really worried about it since my friends scion is 5 percent and hes never gotten a ticket for it. my friend with I hate to say it an srt4 has 20% all around and has gotten pulled over for it but no ticket so...
Ohio max is 50% in the front. I got a $90 ticket when I got pulled over and he checked my tint at 35%. I didn't even have the car a day yet.
Damn cops and their advanced tint guns...

hey man thanks for being so nice about a simple mistake. and I am well aware of the law and the fact that it was designed in order to keep officers aware of what is going on inside of the car.. I'm not pulling a gun on anyone so I don't see the problem... if I got pulled over I would accept the ticket. However, it's a very unenforced law in NJ. So does anyone have any pictures?

not directed at you brownie but that really does suck.. I feel like every car that rides up next to me is tinted and I hardly ever hear about tickets being issued.
i have suntek hp 50. it is 50% tint. it is very light blue, similar to certain mercedes glass. they have bronze and charcoal options too. mine is on a silver mazda and anyone who actually notices it says it looks really neat. it's VERY mild. it works for keeping UV out and heat, but doesn't provide privacy or anything. it looks cool and does not attract any law enforcement attention whatsoever.
if you look at the data, it actually rejects a decent amount of solar energy without making your car look silly. mine rejects 35% of the solar energy, while their hp 5 rejects 58%. that is not THAT different considering one tint barely looks like tint at all, and the other looks like the window is painted black.

just an option to consider since tint tickets are pretty dumb ; )

not your everyday hatch in that thread, lol.
BTW, i got some shots of my tint today. still hard to see but whatever. the easiest way to tell what's doin' is to look at the interior pillar plastic panels - they are really light gray but because of the tint they look light blue.
