I think the blow dryin is to take out the bubbles. I got an estimate the other day to get 35% black tint all around including sunroof and they said about 200 bucks. Not bad i guess....

I tried tinting my friend's windows. Trust me. If you haven't done it before, the $150-200 is money well spent. I completely f*cked it up and wasted $25. The hard part is getting the tint to adhere to the window. Surprisingly, the easy part was cutting it. Putting vinyl on your car is easy but it's not the same as tint.

Tinting is easy if you are supervised by a professional. It took me a while to learn to tint good and there are many tips, tricks, and techniques that books/websites don't teach you. I would just pay the $$ to get it done. Make sure that they are a reputable shop that has been around for a long time cause a lifetime warranty don't mean **** if they go out of business. I would not pay more than $200 for a tint job. When I used to tint, I would charge $100. Good tint costs about $1 per foot. A car equals about $25 to tint a car. A good brand is SolarGard. It is used for commercial applications and does not fade to purple like the cheap tints.

wow what a coincidence... i visited my cousins shop in florida last week and he showed me how to tint... its REALLY easy. First you gotta clean the window(with a razor blade and simple green) then put 2 pieces of tint on 1 window(saves you time so you dont have to cut out the same piece over again on the other side) then lay it on top and spray some more water on it, then carefully cut the tint around the window. Next you seperate the tint from the glue and spray it down with water(to activate the glue) and stick it on the window and spray water on it and get the heat gun with a squeegee(sp?) and take out all the bubbles. I think thats about it.
