temp problems
ok so i have a 1989 crx with a b18a in it. It keeps over heating and the rad fan wont kick on. I changed the thermostat, the temp senor, and the temp sending unit, and it still wont come on. i dont know what else to do. someone please help
Have you checked to see if the relay is working correctly? Have you tried applying 12v directly to the fan to verify it is in fact working properly? Have you tried shorting the fan switch?
i had the same problem and my solution was a relay...test your fan directly to the battery to make sure it turns on if it does than that eliminate the fan. If you still have the ac fan relay, switch it with the radiator fan relay, turn igniton key to on and jump the fan switch and see if it works. Good luck.
I just replaced the relay. I now replaced every part possible that why the fan wont kick on and it still won't. it turned on for about 5 seconds and shut off now wont work. everything works including the fan and yet it wont turn on

with a test light put one side to the power and the other end shove it into the relay where that ground goes in. fan switch goes on the thermostat housing, and maby your thermostat is stuck, so it doesnt open, making the switch not get any hot coolant.. so ur fan doesnt activate.
