Here is how to read the error codes.

Since you have a b16a there are other codes for the knock sensor, Vtec sensors, and the Secondary O2 sensor(if you have one)

**** I need to figure this out quick...when I bought the car a week ago the ignition wires were all f'ed up. the car wouldn't start somtimes so I was under tightening my clutch cable and I saw these loose wires...I taped them together and the car started fine ever since that...the guy whyo had the car before had all kinds of security **** so I am figuring he just had them so he could disconnect them when he parked it or something...I messed around with them and it still wouldn't start

Yep...code 21 is the VTEC solenoid valve by the way.

It would still start if the VTEC solenoid valve was toast, he wouldn't have VTEC though right?

If it is 15...Ignition Output Signal, now that might cause problems.

Yeah it would still run if the valve was garbage just no VTEC. I think that you need to look at the wiring you were talking about before. The wiring probably is causing the car not to start.

the easiest way to figure it out is to go to your local honda dealership and "borrow" the big green book, read it and trouble shoot every thing from the bigginin. or sometimes the "chiltons manuals" have problem solving steps in them , that really help out alot.
