83 rx-7 GSL
I just traded this:

for this:

The suspension is new, all new brakes (calipers and all), new wheel bearings. The body is ready for paint its not all bondo or glass, it was done right. The interior isnt too shabby, It runs and drives and the tires are new. All the body pieces are here just not put on. It comes with 2 extra 12a rotary engines and trannies, one has 60k miles, an extra rear end, and a butt load of other parts. What do you guys think?

ive saw some rx7's with the v8's and they are badass, but i want to keep it rotary. I think thats what makes the car so special to me.
And thanks to everyone else! ill keep you all posted. I probably wont do much to it until winter other than get it running and driving, but there will definatly be some improving haha.

small update:

i have to go back to the kids house to get the bumper support and i found out that im missing some interior pieces. Everything seems to work as far as electronics go and it purs like a kitten. I drove it around a little bit and it drives/shifts smoothly, but then i broke a brake line... more to come

The targa top on that red rex is gonna b worth some money some day, theyre mad rareee, i dont know who'd b dumb enough to just junk that car like that! bump for a good trade nice 1st gen bring it back.
^ thanks man! I found Jap brake lines from autozone that ill fit perfectly for the rear end, im picking them up today after work. They come pre flared and ready to install, they just need bent. I still cant believe i got all of what i got for a trade! Theres still stuff that im finding in the car, and so far everything electronic thats actually plugged in works! And i decided against the dark grey color. Im going to go with the origional color, which is black. what do you think of my badass 13's?!
i wish man, i wish... before i even touch the engine, other than exhaust (this car is lacking) and tune up, im getting everything else fixed up and ready to drive. It needs all new brake lines, two small holes welded up under the car (caused by bad weather stripping), and some other small things. It needs to be one color too... haha

update:
old

new

this pic was just to show what the interior looks like, straight from a 70's porno. crushed velvet seats!

I got the new springs and struts on, new brake lines in the rear, the mirrors on, and the door panels mocked up. im going to paint and clean up the rear end, last owner painted it red....
rotarys are simple to work on. pretty much only 3 moving parts.

Nice deal you got there dude, I'm more of an RX3 man personally.... but the Series 3 RX7are quite the find nowadays.
IMO Bridge port the spare engine, throw on an IDA carb, 10lb Flywheel and a decent clutch. Also, if you can, find a double pulley setup for the waterpump / Alternator - they have a habbit of throwing fan belts leading to overheating of the engine.
Love the simplicity of the Rotary engine, they are actually quite an engineering feat when you see how they actually work. I have rebuilt a couple of 12A's myself and I'm a novice on the spanners.

I started pulling the interior out last night, the dash (i think) is going to stay in. As of now all im doing is pulling the carpet out to un-stink it. It smells like mice and mothballs in there right now. After pulling the carpet I found a pretty bad rust spot by where the drivers side seat belt bolts to so thats going to need welded up. I also think im goint to dye the carpet black, but unsure of that right now. I ran out of day light last night so I couldnt finish.

I found this under the carpet under the passangers seat!
