good place for inspect RSX timing belt issue?
Hi there, I just move to Edmonton couple days ago and I just bought a RSX, I am just wondering if there is any good shop I can take it to and do a quick inspect with timing belt issue. Any good Honda specialist in Edmonton recommend please? I wouldn't go to Honda dealership cuz I never trust them.
Thanks guy

Rsx's dont have timing belts, they have timing chains. Now before you get flamed for posting in the wrong forum, you better leave hahaha, try the dc5 and ep3 section man.

its funny how people just smash on a person without even knowing them. he asked a simple question. just give him a simple answer. yeah some people are still learning, but dont discourage them from asking questions by saying stupid **** like that

Also, as mentioned, the RSX does not use a timing belt, it uses a chain!!! In Canada, they are good for 320,000 k before replacement, i seriously doubt your car has that many km's, so really you would be wasting your time

I do believe the K series motors have some possible issues with the timing chain tensioners, but not the chain itself? That's possibly the issue the OP is referring to.
For all that have immediately flamed the OP for saying timing belt, people start with limited knowledge. I'm almost positive that every single person in this room didn't immediately know every part that's consisted on an engine. ****** at their finest. AK94GSR hit it dead on.
As J_Mark said, could be a timing chain tensioner issue? My brother just had a problem with his, which was a simple fix. Honda should be able to at least diagnose the problem for cheap, and then you can decide if it's simple enough to do on your own or go a different route.
Could a Mod move this to the appropriate section perhaps? Too many engine building Gods in the AC section.
