Honda Warranty
I bought it for $800 when I bought my car new. I figured that, if nothing else, it will be a strong selling point and add to the resale value a bit when I sell my car in a year or two. The Honda Care extended warranty is especially nice because it includes roadside assistance (and I believe rental/loaner car coverage) too.

Well, it's highly negotiable. The extended warranty is always heavily marked up. Dealers have a huge profit margin on them. In your case, they marked it up about 200% based on the $1800 they quoted you! !
When I bought my 2000 Prelude, the dealer finance guy showed me a pricing sheet that he claimed listed his cost for the extended warranrties. The sheet said that the 7yr/100,000mi warranty had a dealer cost of $600. I paid $800, so he still made a fat 33% profit on my deal assuming his price sheet was for real...

I have the warranty but its be voided already. But i did get my moneys worth outta of. If you gonna be hard on your tranny definatly get the warranty because your syncros is the first thing to go. They replaced my 1-2 2-3 3-4 syncros and 1234 gears on my car already before i got the turbo kit. It woulda been like a 3000 dollar repair but warranty does cover it..
