Ok, i've tried everything and I am all out of Idea's

I was driving and I mis shifted from third to second, and my car died. Got it towed home, did compression and leakdown, everything is fine, and inspection of the pistons all good.

But no spark,

the coil fuse was blown, so I replaced that, no change.

tried different coil, no change,
tried different dizzy, no change,

and now I have code 20 ELD, which I didnt have before.

I checked all grounds, I checked every single damn wire on the harness, I unplugged every sensor individually,

NOTHING

I tried a different battery, I tried the ecu in a different car, works fine.

I checked every single fuse,


I think the code 20 and no spark are related.

I tried unplugging the dizzy and alternator, but the code 20 still comes.


ANY IDEA'S??

The ELD measures elecrical load in the car, it helps the ECU anticipate what it needs to do to hold the idle speed steady. In my cars it's built into the fusebox in the engine compartment. I think that location is kinda typical for Honda.

It won't keep your engine from starting & running.

I wasnt asking what the code meant, I know what it means. Rather I mentioned it as a symptom because it wasnt there before, but now it is.

Please dont just copy paste from wikipedia, im really asking for help here, if you dont have any idea's dont post.

 

did you cheack all you fuse's?? when you say your getting no spark did you pull the wires and put a screw driver on it to see if the spark jumps? i had the same problem and it ended up being my dizzy

 

ya I tried the screwdriver spark thing, no spark, checked all fuses.

you had a code 20 and no spark and it ended up being your dizzy?

im gonna go try buying a brand new one to rule that out for sure then

it was the dizzy,

who knew an over rev could burn the dizzy out
