Default carbon fiber hood: rice or not?

I've thought about getting carbon fiber hood, a stock replacement, one without all o the vents and crap. I just curious what the FI guys opinions are, since I think a majority of us live by fuction over form. So what do you say "RICE or NOT"?

I like mine, although I'd like a vent for the manifold.

i think a vent on the hood would be good.....reducing underhood temps sounds pretty good to me.

Well the only performance gain is it will lighten up your car. IMHO when it comes to visuals do what you think looks nice...who cares what anyone else thinks. If you like a giant double decker gtr wing then thats your own...but as long as you know its not giving you a 100hp or tremendous downforce but its actually weighing you down. I love a cf hood on a white car tho.

Carbon Fiber hoods are nice, but I have gotten to the point where I am sick of mine, so I will be painting it shortly I think. A vented hood would be much nicer though.

I would say no.

What does this have to do with turbo, super charger, or nitrous again??

Nicest Vented CF Hood I've seen is made by J's Racing. I am looking for one of these, and would most likely have it painted. Check it out:

One bad thing about vented hood is that they expose the manifold to water/moisture. Imagine what happens when a 1,200 degree manifold gets splashed with cold water...
