Legally to purge the lines.. you have to take it a certified place and have the evac the r134 and then you can safely pull the system apart without issue.
The cheap way is stick a phillips head in the valve, turn head away, hold breath, push screwdriver in. Depends on how much you care about the environment, but r134 isn't going to give you a chemical burn or something. Just don't breathe it.

I was gonna yell at you for wanting to remove your ac...but then I realized you're in Canada. Go for it!
I just brought my car to a garage and they emptied it out for me for somethin cheap like $30. I would recommend that since I'm pretty much a hippie.

Being Canadian, you should care enough about the planet to not purge it to the atmosphere. Don't do it! I guess I'm a hippie too. That's why I drive an "economical" civic right?

I dont wanna purge it into the atmosphere either i did follow a refregirant course at the college and i learned how bad it is for the atmosphere.. its very severe. aniway so your recomendations would all be to bring the car at a local garage and have them purge the lines for me? i tought there was a safe way that i could do it myself
thanks for the replies but the problem is that i cant move the car anywhere.. im currently pulling the head so i dunno how will i get the car to a garage..
