The car is a 93 Si , og Cluster, Lights up only sometimes like when hitting a bump or something , same goes for the climate control. Only works sometimes. The tach,speedo,temp,and gas gauge always work fine, Any Ideas what to look for?

 

dimmer switch is probably bad.

 

^ Yeah, most likely. I don't know if it's the reason why mine malfunctions sometimes, but usually when my cluster lights go out I just mess with the dimmer switch a little bit and push the switch as far up as it could go and it works

 

Yeah I think so.

When the dimmer switched is messed with it comes on sometimes, Guess the fix would just be a new dimmer switch?

 

Does jumping the red wire to the black wire in the dimmer switch connector solve the problem? If so, replace the dimmer switch.

im a little confused, I pulled out the dimmer switch and pushed on the plug thinking a wire was loose or something, and the dash lights turned on for a second then went off, What do you meen about jumping the red wire to the black? there are 2 red wires I think, And 1 black

 

There's a Red wire, Red/Blk wire, and a black wire.

 

correct, So im going to jump the solid red to the black. I will try tommorow and let you know, Thanks
