Rear Sway Bar Sizes for DD/AutoX
Hey, so I'm running Tien Basics and stock wheels on my 08 accord but want a bit more cornering stability.
How big should i go with a RSB? there are 17mm 19mm and 22mm available (stock is 15mm). My concern would be going to big and making the car prone to spins. I understand the concept of the RSB but have no experience with choosing the correct stiffness. Any insight from you guys would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

sway bars should be based on the rest of the suspension setup, as well as desired feel.
what suspension are you running now? front sway? spring rates on the basics?

Bear in mind a small change in diameter can have a large effect in wheel rate.
By my rough calculations, the stock 14mm rear bar on my EK4 provides a measly 20lb/in to the wheels, going to 16mm doubles it to 40lb/in and the ASR 24mm bar has increased it by 900% to 180lb/in!

^^ correct.
But when you select your sizing, you would want a set of adjustable links.. If your going for Auto-X then you should have coilovers on your list.
after coilovers are installed, use the selected sways with adj links and then get a corner balance.
At the moment, im running 26mm frt/24mm ASR rear with a 50/50 corner balance and the results are amazing!

Having said that, a swaybar would not be my first mod on the suspension although. I would definitely go for springs/shocks well before swapping swaybars on that car if you have not done them already.
