oil dipstick problem

Default oil dipstick problem

92 eg b18c1 turbo log style manifold won't let the dipstick go in, stud its on the way of the tube so it won't pass by it, what can i do to make it go in?

get a file and shave down the stud that's it the way. it also may be necessary to bend the top part of the dip stick so it isn't touching anything when it's seated. After that it still may be difficult to put it back in when checking the oil but that's one of the sacrifices we make.

the above method works, or you can take out the stud, and install a single bolt if there is enough room.

Mine is the same way. I have toslide it under the stud and in the hole then had to bend the top of the a stick to get it in. When its hot i cant even touch it though. Someone told me the cr-v works better. NO EXPERIENCE WITH IT THOUGH!

thanks fellas i think i'm just going to put a stud, i should have thought about that but never really bother till now that's time to make my first oil change.
