96 ek hatch a/c wiring problem
Ok so i have a 96 civic hatch dx, and when i bought the car it had a 99-00 civic a/c controls and the climate control wiring harness too, but the a/c didnt work. So i brought it to the shop and they told me to just get the 96-98 climate controls and wiring harness, so i did. but the new wiring harness does not have this plug and i was wondering what that plug is. Does anyone know what this plug is?
That's the fan speed resistor. Its what makes the fan able to spin at different speeds. That should have been plugged in on the old setup. Was the fan not blowing? If not, that's why. Look around your wiring harness for it, it has to be there, maybe it got tucked behind something or taped up?
the fan blows im not sure about the different speeds tho then when i turn on the ac no cold air comes out. we just hooked up the line lines today and tried to charge the system but it said warning 60psi in the lines.
Ok. I just looked at my setup, and that connector just to the right of your arrow with the black thing plugged into it is the connector that plugs into the resistor. Unplug that black thing and plug the connector into the resistor.
