Default Manual Transmission Question

Hey guys I am going to be pulling my transmission out soon cause I need to replace the syncros (sorry about the spelling) and I am going to inspect the gears because i think they may be worn out. Does anybody know if there is a company that makes aftermarket gears for our cars? I am going to be building the motor soon and i dont wana have to worry about the tranny anymore. Im pretty hard on the trans and i will be hopefully autocrossing at the least next yr. thanks alot guys

The oem transmision syncros are very problematic if your find others aftermarket, share with us, I never seen aftermarket Syncros for 7th gen civic

These manuals are actually quite durable and can withstand some hefty use/abuse. Some of the turbo guys can vouch for OEM durability. Like anything drivetrain related, though, they're all subject to wear and tear.

Yea i have heard they hold up well with power. I was just wondering if anybody made nething aftermarket you know. I may be going the k swap way so i wouldnt need to worry bout the trans. Im dealing with the turbo vs. kswap dilema.

K-series trannys are junk. D and B-series transmissions will wear syncro rings and sleeves, K-series trannys tend to shred the engagement teeth on the gears themselves.

i meant as far as worrying about my d17 trans. k-series trannys are not the best but u can also buy ppg gear sets which are pretty damn nice and hold up very well to abuse at least in my experience with them.
