Default H22 ek

I'm looking at dropping an H in my ek coupe. Obviously we all know about the whole weight thing with how it throws off the weight balance. But what about the fact that it'll be one mount short? Prelude's have the mount up front of the engine, 4 mounts on a prelude, 3 mounts on a Civic. So what is the possibility of this actually messing up the frame part up front from moving? My thought is that the Avid/HaSport/etc. mounts would be stiff enough to keep it from rocking bad. I don't plan on boosting it or anything, it'd just be the stock H. What do you think?

it shouldnt be a problem. im only using 3 mounts, two sides and rear from hasport. not rocking or pulling that i have noticed. plus with decent suspension, the weight is not much different.

I don't plan on h2b, too much money for something I don't need right now. And for suspension I have AGX's with Ground Control's, so I'll be fine in that aspect. It is just that my friend who's beena mechanic for many years said it is the one swap he won't do to his own car or own a car with, since the fact that is has one less mount and can twist the front frame, and that there's a reason not a lot of people do the swap. I think it should be fine.

As long as you use after market mounts, it really should not be a problem. A few of my buddies have straight H swaps and have had their cars for years with no problems.

I run hasport mounts, work like a champ and the weight issue isn't one, it's just something the b series guys talk about to make them feel better about having a smaller engine

yeh i have a h22 swap in my eg. i went with innovative mounts with 92a urethane bushings. there is no problems at all. i wouldnt go any other mounts except the hasport or innovative because of the pass side frame bracket they came out with. i even have a skunk2 intake mani on mine and the tps clip touches the fire wall and i havent broken the tps yet. im sure ull love the power and torque n u might make a believer of your buddy
