Default Skid Plate/Sheild for JDM DC 4-1??

Anyone make one of these, or purchased one anywhere? I've been seeing skid plates for the jdm 4-1, but not the jdm dc 4-1. Just wondering if anyone has done a DIY or knows if there is one available for purchase out there.

Pics/links welcome! (I searched, and searched.... not satisfied yet)

Thanks in advance.

Unless your car is dropped lower than the stock height, you won't need a skidplate/lower-heatshield. 'cuz, I don't think many ITR owners drive through tall speedbumps at full throttle

I don't stop for anything, Sean!!

I'm not planning on lowering my car, but just in case.... want to see if anyone has made one. Homework for the future. Right now, anything is better than work.

goto ACE hardware or home depot and buy some sheet metal. bend it yourself.

Umm, if it's easily bendable, I doubt it would protect the header at all...

That's what I'm thinking. Bendable -> Bad.

Oh well. If anyone has one, i'd like to see it. I'm not marching out and making one myself, just interested in seeing existing setups.

Fastline Performance was looking into making a skidplate for the DC 4-1 but after looking into it they saw their really wasn't a good strong place to mount it as on the JDM 4-1. Good luck.

price.... Robert from TornActive is a good guy

I bought my skidplate a while back after thier first run; since then the prices dropped on thier website... then from nowhere they send me a $20 gift certificate email to make up my loss!!! Tell me another company that would do that!! It was like getting one of thier clutch lines for 9 BUCKS!!!! Fastline customer service f00kin' ROX0Rz!!!

What does this have to do with a jdm dc? This is all jdm 4-1 talk. This was just to SEE if anyone had made/bought a skidplate for their JDM DC.

1107 - Who, at stock height, has no clearances issues whatsoever.

I was planning on buying the skidplate from the groupbuy and welding the brackets on the dc like the ones on the stock 4-1.

Matt - You are defintely right about staying on topic... I'm guilty of that many times. If for some reason I decide to lower my car, It would be nice to know if anyone has already done the work on a skidplate for this header. Planning ahead.

idea!! good luck- I am sure someone will make the plate fit sooner than later. The only thing is the DC uses alot thinner gauge metal so it is not as strong to weld on. The skidplate may be stronger then the header!!!
